Atlas Copco’s ELEC CAB multi-vacuum pump controllers enable centralized start/stop control and pressure-based regulation of multiple vacuum pumps, ensuring seamless coordination according to preset operating pressures. Integrated with a built-in PLC, this compact control system supports easy remote monitoring for enhanced operational oversight.
Available in two wall-mounted versions, the ELEC CAB can manage up to 2 or 4 pumps of identical motor size. One pump operates as a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) to dynamically adjust output and maintain precise pressure control, while the remaining pumps run at fixed speed to handle baseline demand efficiently.
The controller features an integrated frequency inverter for VSD operation. For motors exceeding 7.5 kW, a soft-starter is used to ensure smooth and safe motor startup, reducing mechanical stress and electrical inrush currents.

Atlas Copco’s ELEC CAB multi-pump controller is engineered to save energy and reduce operating costs through intelligent system management. By continuously monitoring system pressure and dynamically coordinating multiple pumps, it ensures optimal performance across varying demand levels. The lead pump, equipped with a Variable Speed Drive (VSD), responds instantly to pressure fluctuations, maintaining stable vacuum levels while maximizing energy efficiency. This precise control keeps the entire system operating within a tight, user-defined pressure range, enhancing process stability and significantly lowering power consumption.
To extend equipment life and cut maintenance expenses, the ELEC CAB evenly distributes the lead role among connected pumps. This balanced runtime allocation prevents overuse of any single unit, leading to more uniform wear, reduced service frequency, and longer pump lifespans.
