The gear sleeve flex coupling features the same tooth count as the ring gear in external-tooth flange couplings. The outer teeth are available in two types: spur and drum-shaped. The drum gear design features a spherical tooth profile centered on the gear axis, allowing greater backlash than standard gears. This enables higher angular misalignment capacity compared to straight-tooth couplings, improves tooth contact under load, enhances torque transmission efficiency, and extends service life.
